Winterising sun sails & getting them ready for summer

Preparation: You will need a stepladder and about 10 minutes. Important: Make sure the awning is disconnected from the power supply to prevent it from opening accidentally.

Step 1: We start in the middle. Unfasten all the press studs and pull the large zips to the left and right as far apart as your hands can reach.

Step 2: Change position. Now work your way towards the side facing away from the wind sensor, or the side opposite the power connection. Once you reach the end, open the zip fully, but leave the strap fastened. This ensures the protective cover remains on the shaft and does not fall to the ground. While you are at it, please also check the condition of the ropes and pulleys in the brackets. If the ropes are thinning or cracked, we recommend contacting us to arrange a rope replacement. 

Step 3: Change position again and turn your attention to the side that is still zipped shut. Here, too, open the zip on the cover all the way to the end of the shaft. This time, open the strap as well. Check the ropes and pulleys here too. 

Step 4: Now wind the winter cover directly onto the shaft. This keeps the cover clean and allows it to be folded up neatly.

Step 5: Now make sure the sunshade is connected to the power supply and operate it to test it
